Do not throw the watermelon seeds, instead benefit from them!

All life we are throwing the seed from watermelon, but now it is time to stop that! Watermelon seeds can cure and prevent many diseases.

When we eat watermelon we throw up most of the seeds, and the one we don’t just pass right trough our digestive system. The one that pass trough the digestive system are helping the digestion, but this is not the benefit that this seeds are offering us.

In order to use the healing properties of this seed, we need to cake, grind or bake them so we get the valuable content.

What does the watermelon seed have that is so good?

This seeds are containing dietary fiber essentials, that are needed for normal digestive work. They are preventing intestinal parasites and help in preventing them, they also are well in treatments of patients that are suffering from jaundice, sea sickness and inflammation in the body.

They are also containing the compound citrulline that is is an α-amino acid. This substance is powerful antioxidant, promotes the expansion of the blood vessels and also helps in case of atherosclerosis, hyper tension, angina and erectile dysfunction.

At the begining of the XX century, the famous Edgar Cayce, one of the fathers of holistic medicine, wrote that the seeds of watermelon are very healthy ingredient, particularly useful for the treatment of kidney. He said that the tea from fresh watermelon seed is great diuretic and it is recommended for removal of the stones and sand that are inside the kidneys.

For kidney treatment Cayce recommends that next recipe:

Take 4 tablespoons, only fresh seeds and ground them or blend them. Cook the grounded seeds in 2 litters boiled water. Drink the water in 2 days, 4 cups a day. Pause one day and do this for two weeks with 1 day pause each time.

Remedy For E.Coli

One of the best natural remedies for treating E.Coli ( bacteria in the urinary tract and prevention of parasites in the intestine is the tea made of watermelon seeds. For this tea you will need, 30-40 watermelon seeds. Grind them or ground them. Put the grounded seeds into 1 l boiling water and cook them for 10 minutes. After it is cooked for 10 minutes, put the remedy into the fridge.

It can be mixed with fresh juice or another cold tea. You should consume 1 l of the remedy per day, for the next few weeks to few month. It is important to be persistent so the bacteria is fully removed. The remedy is also suitable for kids and old people. In the summer period gather enough seed so you have enough for long term use. For this remedy you can also use dried seeds.

Remedy For Prostatitis

Similar remedy is also for treatment of prostatis. Prostatis is most common for men older then 40 years. For this remedy it is necessary to take 2 table spoons of dried and two tablespoons of fresh watermelon seeds. Pour the seeds with half litter of boiling water into a jar with lid. Let it stand for a half an hour and consume it immediately without big breaks. Drink this dose on daily basis for 3 weeks. The positive results will start after 10 days.

Water melon seeds cane be used as delicious snack that is simulacra to pumpkin seeds. Wash the seed nice and put them on piper so they are completely dried. Fry them in a pan at high for about 20-25 minutes. Do not use very high temperature in order to keep the healthy ingredients. While frying them pour a bit water with salt (use one glass of water with 2 table spoons of salt into it), the water will go away and the salt will stay on the seeds.

For the end the seed of watermelon are great source of magnesium, iron, vitamin A,B and C, antioxidants, calcium, potassium, manganese, niacin, and healthy fats.

Cheap and healthy seed mix that we need to consume!

Seeds are not only bird food, and after this post I hope that every single one of you will put them on your shopping list!

Seeds provide enough food for the next generation of plants, we can simply compare them with the eggs. They contain all ingredients that the plants need to grow up.

Flax seed, pumpkin seed, sesame and sunflower have extremely great healthy and healing powers. This seeds contain extremely great profile of aminoacids that is required to form the complete shape of digestive protein, and that’s not all – they also contain nice vitamins like A, B, C and E, minerals calcium, potassium, zinc, selenium, iron and manganese.

Flax seed

This seed is know since the stone age, and the benefits that it provides are well know from ancient Europe.

The advantages of this seed are that it is excellent source of omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids – which are really welcomed for our organisms. It is great source of dietary fiber and manganese, and it is rich with B6, minerals, magnesium, phosphorus and copper.

Flax seeds helps a great deal to relieve PMS symptoms, and because it is rich with fibers it helps reliving lazy bowel syndrome. Put  1 table spoon of ground flax seeds in a glass of water or yogurt and drink it up!

Sunflower seed

This seed is a mystical symbol of many early civilization for a reason, and the best know are the Incas who worshiped the sun.

The benefits of sunflower seed are that they are full with vitamin B, which is great for our nervous system, it is a nice source of phosphorus, magnesium, iron, calcium and vitamin E. It also contains minerals, zinc, copper, carotene and does very good job in protecting our arteries.

It is know as natural source of zinc, and is a well know immunity booster. It helps with relieving stress and is great for our hearts!

Sesame seed

In the mythology the god Yama blesses the sesame seed, and on the East this seed is considered as a symbol of immortality.
Sesame is such a great seed because it contains: protein, iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, phytanic acid and carbohydrates. It also contains sesamin and sesamolin, which are substances that help maintain our cholesterol levels normal. Sesame is a great source of vitamin E and omega 6 and of course monounsaturated fat. These are the things that help our arteries and also keep and increase the elasticity of the skin. As a bonus this seed also stimulates the blood circulation and helps our nervous system.

Try to nibble this seed or consume it blended, also you should try tahini, hummus or sesame oil.

Pumpkin seed

In China, the pumpkin seed is called “emperor of the sun” and it is a symbol of fertility. This seed is rich with aminoacids, alanine, glycine and glutamic acid. Pumpkin seed is a great source of zinc, omega-3 essential acids and it also contains iron and phosphorus and has a low level of carbohydrates.

Pumpkin seed usage is well documented in ancient treatments for prostate cancer and prevention, and today these health benefits are well know and scientifically confirmed. This seed is excellent prevention and treatment for this disease because it contains cucurbitacins substances, which help the prevention of testosterone conversion into dihydro-testosterone whose presence can really contribute to the increase of the prostate. Pumpkin seed also boosts the women urinary tract.
