About The Wellness Info
The Wellness Info began in 2015 as a personal-experience wellness blog. The original About page introduced three friends — Sheila, a journalist, and Kelly and Amy, psychologists — who shared the food, movement, and self-care practices they tried in their own lives.
That spirit is the part worth keeping. People trying things for themselves — cooking more from scratch, moving a little more, taking better care of their skin and their minds — is exactly the wellness content that can help. What does not survive is the hype: the "miracle" drinks, the "toxins", the promises of dramatic weight loss, and the loose health claims that filled so many wellness sites of that era, including parts of this one.
What we publish now
- Real-food nutrition and cooking — practical recipes and eating guidance without superfood marketing.
- Beginner movement and fitness — sustainable exercise, not "perfect body" promises.
- Gentle DIY beauty — home skincare and haircare you can try safely, with the safety talk included.
- Everyday mental well-being — sleep, stress, gratitude, and self-compassion in plain language.
Our editorial rules
- General wellness information only — never a treatment or cure claim.
- No guaranteed outcomes, no "detox" pseudoscience, no medical promises.
- When health is on the line, we say so and point to a clinician.
- Guides are drafted, reviewed, and dated; drafts are never published.
We are rebuilding the archive topic by topic, replacing 2015-era posts with current, careful guidance rather than copying them forward.
