DIY almond oil, Healthy delicious and tasty

July 5, 2015 by Kelly Bennet

It is always best if you make it your self. There is big choice of almond oils in the shop, but believe me if you want to have the right one, you must make it your self.

Why using almond oil?

Almond oil is extremely healthy and beneficial. It contains no cholesterol and it is rich with vitamins and trace elements that are dissolved and easily accessible to our bodies. Almond milk is one of the best possible milks, since it does not contains cholesterol, and consists 20% protein. This milk contains more milk then the spinach.

In addition, this milk is a source of phosphorus, which we really need for our teeth and bones. It has 4 times more calcium then the cow’s milk. On 100 g milk it has 370 mg calcium. Also it contains pottasium, zinc, copper, iron, group B vitamins and manganese.

DIY almond oil, Healthy delicious and tasty

Why should you drink it?

Doctor recommends it for safe and faster healing of ulcers. Almond milk stimulates the secretion of bile and gall bladder emptying. It also stimulates the bowel and is used for chronic colitis and constipation. It has easy laxative effect. By drinking 1 glass of this milk you are preventing diseases of the gastrointestinal track.

Almond milk is used in colds, asthma, insomnia, impotence, anemia. It is excelent source of energy, supports the brain activity and strengthens the memory. The moderate levels of vitamin A in the milk strengthens the vision and influence the capability of the eyes of adjusting to the different lighting conditions.

A glas of almond milk contains 50% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin E- antioxidant that reduces the growth of free radicals that may cause cancer.

There are plenty of B vitamins and iron that are necessary for growth and healthy functioning of the muscular tissue . Almond milk does not contains lactose so you can drink as much as you want without fear of digestive disorders.

And for the end it contains a very few calories(1 cup= 40 calories) does not contains saturated fat that makes it very useful in our diets. The pure almond milk provides helthy skin and hair.

Now the preparation

You will need:

Blender or juicer

1 cup of raw almonds, which you can find( I prefer organic almonds)

3-4 glasses of water

And strainer

DIY almond oil, Healthy delicious and tasty

Preparation:

Soak the almonds in water and let them soak nicely during the night. In the morning spill the water nicel. Put the almonds in a bowl, and pour them with water( preferably filtered or bottled water) around 3-4 cups of water. After that put them in the blender and blend them about 2 minutes. Strain them with the strainer and put it in bottles made from glass. It can stay in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can sweeten the milk with honey, or add cinnamon, cocoa or vanilla.

Important! : The mixture that is left from straining process is not GARBAGE! You can prepare marzipan cake with it, add it in the muesli, or dry it out and get almond flour. From the mixture also you an make moisturizing facial mask, if you add a little cream and honey. This mask is used the next way: Apply it on the skin 10-15 minutes, then clean the skin with water. PS: your skin will love you 🙂

As you can see the benefits of this milk are invaluable, because it contains a lot of nutrients that are essential!

The healthiest ever – sprouted wheat grains bread – recipe

June 18, 2015 by Sheila Smith

The flourless bread that we present today is as nutritious as other bakery products but also it is rich with protein, vitamins, amino acids, fats, carbohydrates and minerals. Just the content of nutritious fiber is twenty times higher than in the regular bread which we buy in the bakeries.

It stimulates the production of red blood cells and hemoglobin, facilitates the removal of carcinogenic and toxic substances from the body, and excess cholesterol and is recommended in the prevention of diabetes, arteriosclerosis, cellulitis… It’s made from germinated wheat grain, with a minimum of yeast and salt, without additives, preservatives and similar substances, so it is definitely the healthiest option that you can consume when you are on a diet.
All other types of bread are different, especially in that they contain flour low biological values, with properties that the human body practically can not adopt.
Check out the recipe and find out how to make this awesome recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 300g wheat,
  • 100g barley flakes,
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of flaxseeds
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 yeast + 50ml of water.

Preparation:

Step 1: Cover the wheat grains with water and let sit for three days until it begins to germinate. Change the water periodically.
Step 2: After three days drain the wheat and grind it using a meat grinder or put them in a blender. You’ll get a mass similar to a dough.
Step 3: Add flakes in the dough (barley, oat, etc.). First soak the flakes in warm water, and when drain well when they soften..
Step 4: Add more seeds of your choice (sunflower seeds, flax, sesame) but first fry them shortly in a dry pan.
Step 5: Stir half a teaspoon of fresh yeast with sugar in 50 ml of water. When yeast is ready, add it to the mass for the bread and knead by hand. There is no need to add additional water because the wheat itself is sufficiently moist.
Step 6: Add a tablespoon of salt and put it on a baking pan to rest for about 30 minutes. It is best to use silicone molds, because then there is no need to add any fat. Cover the dough with a damp cloth.

bread-dough

Step 7:  Preheat the oven on 220 degrees Celsius. Insert a few ice cubes into the oven in order to create vapor, which will allow the yeast to raise the bread a little more before it dries. Bake the bread for 45-50 min.
Once the bread cools down cover it with a plastic foil and refrigerate. You can distribute it into the daily portions and freeze, and use as needed.

5 reasons to drink a glass of red wine every day

May 18, 2015 by Sheila Smith

Wine is a low-alcoholic beverage obtained by fermentation of grape juice.
There are over 200 different ingredients in wine such as alcohol, trace elements, vitamins, sugars, tannins, pectins, different polyphenols…
The red and white wine have special effects on our health – they contain polyphenols, of which the most important resveratrol, which has been shown to reduce the risk of many diseases, especially cardiovascular diseases.
Today we reveal five reasons why you need to incorporate a glass of red wine in your daily diet.

1. Research has shown that polyphenols and tannins contained in the wine have antiviral and antibacterial properties.Wine is a good protection from bronchitis, pneumonia, flu and colds. It is recommended for people with low blood pressure because it increases your heart rate and increases the amount of blood that goes to the brain.

2.  Wine increases the levels of beneficial HDL cholesterol and lowers LDL cholesterol, which is the most common cause of heart disease and diseases of the blood vessels.

3. If used in moderation during meals, wine along with digestive juices acts preventively against diseases of the stomach and intestines.

4. A small amount of wine stimulates the secretion of saliva and gastric juices, which causes increase in appetite, so it is recommended to geriatrics patients, convalescents and people with reduced appetite and underweight people.

5. Wine can be used for relaxation during stressful situations, because it contains a certain amount of magnesium which acts calming.

I have to say that wine and other alcoholic beverages are not recommended for certain diseases such as liver disease, stomach diseases, gout and should not be mixed with sedatives, sleeping pills, painkillers, because in this case wine can cause drowsiness, shortness of breath, and even coma.
In order to use the benefits from drinking red wine, I advise you to drink  1/3 to 1 glass of red wine every day.

Cheers!
