Fruit waters, perfect summer refreshment!

Well it is simple water is life, and we all must drink water 🙂 . The minimal water that we need to drink on daily basis is 2 liters, that is equal to 8 glasses of water. Drinking this 8 glasses of water sometimes is becoming boring and unconsciously we do not want to drink this amount of water, so we forget to do so.

This problem can be simply solved by making the water tasting and looking great. The water with natural fruit flavors is perfectly the thing we need to achieve this and is the perfectly healthy refreshment for the summer times. Make large quantities and store it to a freezer and you can enjoy drinking water from tomorrow.

Here is some of the ideas I use at home

You will need:

  • Fruit every flavor you love, except bananas 🙂 , when you are picking your fruit pay attention so it is not damaged.
  • Herbs – here also you an follow your own taste, but to be sure the best flavors for me and i believe for you are mint and ginger
  • Jar or Jug
  • Scoop or big spoon
  • And the last but most important! Water ( and preferably ice cubes )(:

Now the preparation:

  1. Dice the fruits in cubes, combine citrus or berries for the best, and never have more then 1/3 of the jar filled with fruits.
  2. Use the scoop or the spoon to tap the fruit slowly so it releases flavor but not vigorously so it does not became smoothie!
  3. Put ice cubes into the jar almost fill it with them after all they are just water. Now fill the jar with water to the top.

Thus prepared water you can drink now, but it is for the best you leave it to rest into the fridge for at least 6 hours.

DIY homemade peel cream for softer skin and cellulite and stretch marks improvement!

Beautiful body goes with beautiful skin. For all those that want to DIY, and all those who do not want chemicals, You should definitely try this peelings.

With help of the home made peelings, not only you will clean your skin and help it regenerate it self, you can also improve the stretch marks and the cellulite. This simple sugar-salt peeling, will absolutely help you, and you will feel results with really budget affordable resources.

Go homemade peeling against stretch mark and cellulite, lets prepare it!

For its preparation you will need: 250 grams of salt. 250 grams of sugar and 100-150 ml palm or coconut oil.

It is best if you use sea salt, cos it is richer with iodine and trace elements whom are contributing to the skin renewal.

Mix the sugar(250 g) salt(250g) and the oil (100ml) and continue mixing till you get thick yogurt.

Usu the scrub every night when showering, at least scrub the troubled parts of the skin, massaging in circular motion for 2-3 minutes each. After that wash it our with warm water. After the procedure you should add moisturizing cream or lotion. Here is a link to the lotion that I recommend and it is also homemade 🙂

After a month of regular use of the peels you will notice that the stretch marks and the cellulite become less noticeable and your skin will be soft like a baby skin. When you see positive effects do not stop by any mean, it is possible it completely removes the stretch marks and the cellulite.

Vacuumed stomach – exercise for slimmer waist and flat stomach

There is simple and clever technique that is also actively used in yoga. It allows you in a very short time (3-4 weeks) to straighten up your abdominal muscles from inside and make your waist thinner.

With a bit patience and tenacity you will achieve the wished effect. The minimum numbers of repetitions is 5. At the beginning you will need time to keep the abdominal muscles tense, but in time you will need less effort to control them.

Soo here is the exercise for tummy tuck:

1. Starting position: lie on your back with arms along the body, the knees bent and the foots on the floor. With muscles relaxed, slowly exhale, releasing the air you have.

2. Freed from the air, slowly start to strain the muscles of the stomach, truing to suck as much as you can on the inside. When you do this you should not be breathing. Freeze up the movement of the lower part of the abdomen for 10-15 seconds, then start to inhale in small breaths, but continue to pull back the stomach.Yoga Tune-up with Jill Miller

3. Taking small breaths, do not rush to relax the stomach – strain the stomach muscles and hold for 15 seconds. Then reinsert the stomach, maintaining the muscle tension.

4. Exhale relax the stomach and do a few free inhales and exhales, Now again release the air from the lungs and the stomach as much as possible. Stretch the muscles of the stomach, and then eject the belly up without breathing.

Repeat this exercise at least 5 times.

Thanks to this exercise you will significantly strengthen the internal abdominal muscles, which will lead to reduction in the abdomen and waist looks.

All life we are throwing the seed from watermelon, but now it is time to stop that! Watermelon seeds can cure and prevent many diseases.

When we eat watermelon we throw up most of the seeds, and the one we don’t just pass right trough our digestive system. The one that pass trough the digestive system are helping the digestion, but this is not the benefit that this seeds are offering us.

In order to use the healing properties of this seed, we need to cake, grind or bake them so we get the valuable content.

What does the watermelon seed have that is so good?

This seeds are containing dietary fiber essentials, that are needed for normal digestive work. They are preventing intestinal parasites and help in preventing them, they also are well in treatments of patients that are suffering from jaundice, sea sickness and inflammation in the body.

They are also containing the compound citrulline that is is an α-amino acid. This substance is powerful antioxidant, promotes the expansion of the blood vessels and also helps in case of atherosclerosis, hyper tension, angina and erectile dysfunction.

At the begining of the XX century, the famous Edgar Cayce, one of the fathers of holistic medicine, wrote that the seeds of watermelon are very healthy ingredient, particularly useful for the treatment of kidney. He said that the tea from fresh watermelon seed is great diuretic and it is recommended for removal of the stones and sand that are inside the kidneys.

For kidney treatment Cayce recommends that next recipe:

Take 4 tablespoons, only fresh seeds and ground them or blend them. Cook the grounded seeds in 2 litters boiled water. Drink the water in 2 days, 4 cups a day. Pause one day and do this for two weeks with 1 day pause each time.

Remedy For E.Coli

One of the best natural remedies for treating E.Coli ( bacteria in the urinary tract and prevention of parasites in the intestine is the tea made of watermelon seeds. For this tea you will need, 30-40 watermelon seeds. Grind them or ground them. Put the grounded seeds into 1 l boiling water and cook them for 10 minutes. After it is cooked for 10 minutes, put the remedy into the fridge.

It can be mixed with fresh juice or another cold tea. You should consume 1 l of the remedy per day, for the next few weeks to few month. It is important to be persistent so the bacteria is fully removed. The remedy is also suitable for kids and old people. In the summer period gather enough seed so you have enough for long term use. For this remedy you can also use dried seeds.

Remedy For Prostatitis

Similar remedy is also for treatment of prostatis. Prostatis is most common for men older then 40 years. For this remedy it is necessary to take 2 table spoons of dried and two tablespoons of fresh watermelon seeds. Pour the seeds with half litter of boiling water into a jar with lid. Let it stand for a half an hour and consume it immediately without big breaks. Drink this dose on daily basis for 3 weeks. The positive results will start after 10 days.

Water melon seeds cane be used as delicious snack that is simulacra to pumpkin seeds. Wash the seed nice and put them on piper so they are completely dried. Fry them in a pan at high for about 20-25 minutes. Do not use very high temperature in order to keep the healthy ingredients. While frying them pour a bit water with salt (use one glass of water with 2 table spoons of salt into it), the water will go away and the salt will stay on the seeds.

For the end the seed of watermelon are great source of magnesium, iron, vitamin A,B and C, antioxidants, calcium, potassium, manganese, niacin, and healthy fats.

Raw, sugar free, energy bars that you must try!

This One, You Must Try. Especially Especially we who strictly watch the intake of the sweet, this delicious and raw bars will be life changer for us. The preparation is simple, and the ingredients not that are only healthy, they are also our big allies in the fight for keeping a “fit” body.

Ingredients:

  1. Dry raisins
  2. Deglet nour dates
  3. Almonds
  4. Cranberry
  5. Bit cinnamon
  6. Cocoa
  7. Pieces of dark chocolate ( at least 60% cocoa)

Put in blender (put more dry deglet nour dates if they with seed inside, because you will need to clean them, and the rest fruit should be equal amount) the dry raisins, deglet nour dates( without seeds), almonds and the cranberry around 30 seconds. Put a bit cocoa, cinnamon and dark chocolate, depending from the taste you want to get ( on 100 grams of each dry fruit, I put 1/2 tea spoon cinnamon, 2 teaspoons of cocoa, and 75 grams of dark chocolate – at least 66% cocoa in his composition). After you mix it nicely, put the mixture onto a plastic sheet and shape as desired. Keep the cookies into fridge and they can last for 10 days without problem.

From bad day to beautiful one With positive thinking and mind exercises!

Did you know that in one day we experience about 20,000 moments?

Moment is a period of few seconds in which the brain register the event, and this happens 20.000 times a day. Depending on how the brain responds to this moments – as positive, negative or neutral and the ratio between them – will be determined how are we going to feel about the day and are we going to be in bad or good mood.

If you just have one of those days where the ratio between the negative and positive moments is in the favor of the negative, you will feel pretty bad. The first effort you give to feel better, should be thanking yourself and the others, about the good things you have.

If we realize that we have many good things many good moments, and not only bad, the act of gratitude will became mood-healing act.

In the moments of blockage and rage, spent 8 minutes in so called “cloud” Think of some joyful situation, and take deep breaths (3 second inhale, 3 second hold breath, and 4 seconds exhale). This should become your practice, it will help you relax and get back to work. But remember this is just a push out of the negative moments, you should always find time and analyze why it happened so you can prevent it from happening in the future.

Although sometimes it seems very difficult to distance yourself from the problem, even for few minutes, you should always be persistent and constantly practice it. With proper usage this method will trick your brain and make positive thoughts.

To begin with the practice of positive thinking, take a bit from your free time and think about the most positive thoughts from the past to the present and write them down on a piece paper that that you will always carry with you.

However if no positive thoughts are cheering you up, you can try the trick that psychologist call “the five positive for negative attitude”. Specifically for every negative thought you must come up with five positive thoughts that have some similarities with the negative one. With this method you will weigh what is the positive from the negative thought and will help you come to a positive final solution. It is important to remember always to do your best to harness the bad thoughts, the best way is to do a joke from them, with blocking the negative thoughts you are unblocking your mind and you will be calmer, healthier and most importantly you will be able to better grasp the life and solve the problems in the right way.

After all there there is big truth in the saying of Buddha “We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves”

By this I meant, all the toxins that are by product from the lifestyle in the XXI century, will stay in our bodies if we don’t do anything. Here are some every day detox tips that will help you to throw out The Toxins and be more energetic and beautiful.

More Water

The simplest and the best advice is take more water. I know this sounds simple but in order to detox you should take like 4 l of water that is equal of around 20-25 glasses of water. Much of a water is suggested in every detox program, cos it keeps hydrated our bodies, and the excess of water get outs from our bodies with a bunch of toxins. So if you want to detox, or you want to keep all the toxins out of your bodies DRINK WATER. If you are one of the types that forgets to drink water, simply make a 30 minutes alarm and on every 30 minutes take a glass of water.

More Alkaline Foods

It wont be bad if you start the morning with a lemonade. The lemon is one of the great alkaline foods. This acid helps you to keep the ideal PH balance. To keep good balance you should also add fresh vegetables and fruits such as carrots, beets, broccoli, kale, spinach, lemon and plums.

More Fiber

When you feel the need of detox in your body, you need to stop eating foods that are full with bad proteins and fat. More fiber will help your digestive system works properly. Limit the Intake of Dairy Product

Dairy product usually slow the digestion and increase the acid. In order to stay clean and detox program to work you need to avoid dairy products and take some soy, rice or almond milk instead of regular milk, and maybe try toy cheese with nice spices if you are addicted to cheese :).

More Bio Coffee and Tea

Caffeine can increase the desire for sugar and sugar is really bad for cleansing, but that is not the biggest caffeine problem. Regular coffee may raise the blood pressure and usually it slow downs the digestion which also slows down the detox, that is the strongest reason why we should not start the day with coffee. If you are a coffee addict try some bio coffee, but if you can stop drinking coffee it is for the best, at least try to drink coffee at least 2 hours after the breakfast.

More Physical Activity

The best way to get the toxins our is trough sweat. Try to take long walks, to ride bicycle and stay active as much as you can. Cardio is the best way to help the diets with the detox. Take a few minutes cardio training, if you like here is my favorite cardio workout. The cardio is the hard way, you can do it with long walks and sauna treatments. But remember ACTIVITY and SWEATING!

Less Carbohydrates

For the cleans and detox to work you should watch the intake of carbohydrates. This is not so hard just take less sugar products and take low fat yogurts. Be careful with the salads, bunch of the dressings are full of sugar and products rich with carbohydrates.

Make a Vegan Day for Yourself

One day of the week will do it. Decide to be a vegan for one day of the week. The food of plant origin will rest your liver and pancreas. Take one day of the week, lets say Tuesday, and eat only vegetables, vegetable milk, nuts and products from vegetable origin.

Easiest way for detox programs is to stay detoxed, try to do all of this steps in daily, don’t fully change your lifestyle but try to stay detoxed with small changes of your life. Also never forget to take everyday green smoothies. Make sure you drink lemon, cucumber, spinach and chia seeds.

Healthy and tasty baked Zucchini!

Ingredients:

  • 1 zucchini (medium size)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • a few tablespoons sesame seeds
  • a few tablespoons of flax seed
  • apple cider vinegar
  • linseed oil or olive oil
  • Himalayan salt
  • Pepper
  • Basil

Preparation:

Peel the zucchini and cut them vertical. Split each of the pieces of the zucchini into  2-3  pieces. With spoon carefully take the middle of the zucchini out, so you make place for filling. Chop in small pieces the tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and garlic and mix it along the middle that you took out from the zucchini. Put rest of the ingredients and mix a bit. Put the prepared mixture in fridge and leave it for half hour. After half an hour fill the zucchini, bring  your over on 250 degrees and bake it for about 30 minutes.  Bon appetite!

Relief from stress with Six yoga exercises!

All of us have been caught up in situation where we simply can’t deal with the obligations and the work. Therefor, rather than wasting time in front of the computer or over the book without any effect, perhaps it is best to separate 10 minutes for short exercises that will return our strength, concentration and energy. Here are few exercises that you should apply the next time you are felling stressed, disoriented or you lose your focus.

Six your exercises that will help you get rid of stress.

Exercise 1: Relief from anxiety and clearing your thoughts

The key to relaxation is breathing. In fact, when we are busy and concentrating working on a long time, our breathing is shallower and leads to a lack of oxygen in our body. Deep breathing rid of harmful toxins and restores our energy. For this exercise you need to be in comfortable position(whatever makes you comfortable, sitting, laying ..) where your spine is straighten up. Inhale trough the nose while counting to 4, hold the air for 3 seconds and exhale our while counting to 4. Repeat this 10 times and every time your thoughts will be clearer and more focused.

Exercise 2: relief of tension in the neck and shoulders

Yoga, exercise for relief of tension,     If you were sitting in exercise 1, stay in the same position, but this time stretch up your arms over your head with the palms up. Try to keep up your hands in line with your ears and keep your shoulders relaxed, you should not be tense. Keep your hands in this position for five long breaths and then lower the. Shake up your shoulders and repeat this exercise for 5 times.

 

Exercise 3: Relief of stiffness in the shoulders

exercise 3 Stand up straight up so that your feet can be placed on the width of the hips. Extend your arms on both sides , parallel to the floor. Then fold our hands and place them both elbows next to each other, so that the external side of your palms is touching each other.

 

 

Exercise 4: Stretch up your chest!

Standing straight up, stretch your arms behind your back, put your fingers into fists and then slowly merge them next to each other. Look forward, straighten up as much as you can and slowly lift your merged hands as much as you can (behind you). Keeping this position take 5 long breaths. Repeat this exercise 3 times.

 

 

Exercise 5: Remove the tension in the neck and the spine!

From position with straighten spine and the feet in position the is in line with your hips, bent one of your hands at the elbow over the other hand and lean forward as far as you can. Hold this position and take 5 deep breaths. You can slightly bend your knees if the pressure is too great. Repeat this exercise 3 times.

 

Exercise 6: Stretch up the back and hips!

exercise 6 Laying on your back bend your left leg so your left ankle is placed on over your right knee. Now go and place the ankle of your right hand onto your left knee. Put your left hand under the left leg and try grab the right hand whom is onto the left knee. With the two hands around the left leg, slowly pull the leg toward your self. You will feel the stretching up of the right hip. Try to stay in this position for 5 breaths. Repeat this exercise with the other leg, and do it one more time for each leg.

Fast, delicious and healthy quinoa breakfast! Belive me if you try it, you would love it! Invest 30 minutes of your time and make this awesome recipe for yourself.

The ingredients you need or this quinoa breakfast are:

 

Per serving

 

 

 

 

2 cups of almond milk

1 cup of quinoa

1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

Fresh fruit and honey, depends of you r taste! ( I prefer, peach, banana, and strawberries)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Now what you need to do?

Place quinoa in a pan, add the almond milk and add a pinch of salt, pour one cup of water and bring it to boil. It should be boiling for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes your quinoa is ready. Just add a bit of cinnamon powder,honey and fresh fruit! Bon appetite!

Polenta – four times less calories then bread!

In the past this meal was typical food for the poor people in Europe, but today it is served in the restaurants as good addition of meat or fish.

Polenta is given to the children and almost all of us have tried it in the past. If you haven’t tried it, I suggest you try it now. It is such good food because it has 0 fat, it is rich in proteins and it gives you energy. This food is one of the best supplements for bread,  because it has 4 times less calories then the bread. You can try my recipe for grilled polenta.

For this recipe you will need:

1 tablespoon of butter
2 cups of low-fat milk
2 cups of clear chicken soup
1 cup polenta
1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese

Preparation:

Put the milk, soup and the butter on medium heat to boil, when it starts to boil remove the pot and add a bit salt and red pepper. Add the polenta and stir constantly for about 5 minutes until it thickens. When the polenta is ready add parmesan and stir nicely.

Put the polenta into a big oiled dish and cover it. Leave it for about 3 hours in the refrigerator to tighten. Cut it into long sticks with about 0.5 inches width and grill them for about 2 minutes on each side. Bon appetite !polenta grill

Seeds are not only bird food, and after this post I hope that every single one of you will put them on your shopping list!

Seeds provide enough food for the next generation of plants, we can simply compare them with the eggs. They contain all ingredients that the plants need to grow up.

Flax seed, pumpkin seed, sesame and sunflower have extremely great healthy and healing powers. This seeds contain extremely great profile of aminoacids that is required to form the complete shape of digestive protein, and that’s not all – they also contain nice vitamins like A, B, C and E, minerals calcium, potassium, zinc, selenium, iron and manganese.

Flax seed

This seed is know since the stone age, and the benefits that it provides are well know from ancient Europe.

The advantages of this seed are that it is excellent source of omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids – which are really welcomed for our organisms. It is great source of dietary fiber and manganese, and it is rich with B6, minerals, magnesium, phosphorus and copper.

Flax seeds helps a great deal to relieve PMS symptoms, and because it is rich with fibers it helps reliving lazy bowel syndrome. Put  1 table spoon of ground flax seeds in a glass of water or yogurt and drink it up!

Sunflower seed

This seed is a mystical symbol of many early civilization for a reason, and the best know are the Incas who worshiped the sun.

The benefits of sunflower seed are that they are full with vitamin B, which is great for our nervous system, it is a nice source of phosphorus, magnesium, iron, calcium and vitamin E. It also contains minerals, zinc, copper, carotene and does very good job in protecting our arteries.

It is know as natural source of zinc, and is a well know immunity booster. It helps with relieving stress and is great for our hearts!

Sesame seed

In the mythology the god Yama blesses the sesame seed, and on the East this seed is considered as a symbol of immortality.
Sesame is such a great seed because it contains: protein, iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, phytanic acid and carbohydrates. It also contains sesamin and sesamolin, which are substances that help maintain our cholesterol levels normal. Sesame is a great source of vitamin E and omega 6 and of course monounsaturated fat. These are the things that help our arteries and also keep and increase the elasticity of the skin. As a bonus this seed also stimulates the blood circulation and helps our nervous system.

Try to nibble this seed or consume it blended, also you should try tahini, hummus or sesame oil.

Pumpkin seed

In China, the pumpkin seed is called “emperor of the sun” and it is a symbol of fertility. This seed is rich with aminoacids, alanine, glycine and glutamic acid. Pumpkin seed is a great source of zinc, omega-3 essential acids and it also contains iron and phosphorus and has a low level of carbohydrates.

Pumpkin seed usage is well documented in ancient treatments for prostate cancer and prevention, and today these health benefits are well know and scientifically confirmed. This seed is excellent prevention and treatment for this disease because it contains cucurbitacins substances, which help the prevention of testosterone conversion into dihydro-testosterone whose presence can really contribute to the increase of the prostate. Pumpkin seed also boosts the women urinary tract.

For their benefits, these seeds are really cheap and everyone should use them. If you combine all of these seeds you will get:
