Change your thoughts, love yourself

September 30, 2015 by Sheila Smith

Why don’t we start the morning with ‘Today is a great day and I decide to enjoy every moment!’ Why is it so hard to wake up happy and satisfied, start the day with a smile and be happy, simply because we woke up. We always postpone happiness for a better time; on the weekend, when I finish renovating my home, in the spring, after the summer, once this meeting passes, next week for sure and so indefinitely. Sounds familiar?

Change your thoughts, love yourself1

Everything starts from ourselves, from our thoughts and feelings. When we change the flow of thoughts, we can change everything from the relationship with ourselves, to the relationships with others, life just moves in a better direction in all aspects and it truly works. And there will always be those who will say, ‘It’s easy for you, you have this or that …’ and those who live by the principle that the grass is always greener on the other side, but if only we could separate a little time and focus on our thoughts for one hour, for one day, we will understand how they manage the entire process of life.

Change your thoughts, love yourself2

Imagine the mornings when you wake up grumpy, angry at yourself and the whole world, it’s raining outside, you have to go to work and you are mad because the weekend was over, and Monday is already knocking at the door … How many times have you felt that way?

Now imagine the same situation but with other thoughts, Monday, wonderful rainy day, perfect for a new challenge and you decide that today nothing can be out of line because you love yourself, you enjoy your job that brings abundance in life, you have wonderful relationships with your colleagues and meetings that await today will go perfectly with excellent results, and at the end of the day you will enjoy your free time, whether it will be a pleasant evening with family, going out with friends, going to the cinema, it’s up to you to create what makes you most happy and fulfilled. This is much better, right?

Change your thoughts, love yourself3

Day by day, changing the negative thoughts into positive ones, visualizing the day that is before you in the way that suits you, everything becomes different, more beautiful and more fun. And do not forget that you are the creators of your own thoughts, whether positive or negative, and they determine how your day, week, month and year will look like and ultimately your life, and we all have everything we need to be happy and live in happiness, here and now, in this moment. Make your present filled with happines.

Change your thoughts, love yourself

Life is very simple. We get what we give. I believe that we are all responsible for every experience in your life, the best and the worst. Every thought creates our future. Each of us creates their experiences with their thoughts and words. Remember that it is a thought, a thought can be changed.

10 simple tips to stay young

September 23, 2015 by Amy Brown

1. Discard all irrelevant numbers, including age, weight and height. Happiness comes from within, the numbers are only in your head.

2. Retain all happy and positive friends. Grumpy ones just pull you down (keep this in mind if you’re one of the grumpy).

3. Continue to learn about anything that interests you. Never let your brain be idle.

4. Enjoy the present moment in the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you run out of breath. And if you have friends that make you laugh, spend a lot of, a lot of time with him / her.

6. The tears happen: endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with you entire life is yourself. So, you live up to your life.

7. Surround yourself with what you love: a beloved person, pets, spirituality, music, gardening, books, nature, hobby, anything. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: if it is good save it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help and stay positive.

9. Do not go to the “journey” of guilt and regret. Go to the park, in another city or in another country, but forget about the unhealthy feelings of guilt, regret and self-pity.

10. Tell the people you love that you love – whenever you can.

Forgive yourself and others

September 22, 2015 by Sheila Smith

How many times have you uttered the sentence, ” I will never forgive you for this” or  “How can I forgive this?” Are you willing to forgive? Yourself? Life? People you meet on your path?

forgiveness1

Sometimes it’s really hard to forgive when we are hurt and when our heart is broken, when we were humiliated and disgraced by people whom we gave everything, from situations in life when we were not ready to accept them and deal with them.

Indeed, the most difficult thing to do is to forgive yourself primarily, and then to all those who have hurt us in any way. Often not forgiving pushes us towards the bottom, and we ask ourselves again what we do in life that we can not go on. Not forgiving leaves us no room to move forward. Resentment goes hand in hand with not forgiving, so these two dark companions push us farther away from success and happiness, and thus of the love of self and others. The accumulation of impossibility of forgiveness, resentment and anger is opening the way for diseases.

forgiveness2

The most important thing is forgiving ourselves. Talk with yourself, be kind to yourself and your feelings and do not blame yourself for errors and situations. We are all doing the best we can in given situations and if we knew differently then, believe me, we would have done things differently. And so you should not bite and blame yourself, release the past and the events that sadden you, just forgive yourself. And remember that there are no mistakes, only experiences and lessons that teach us to become stronger and better people.

forgiveness

Only when we forgive ourselves, we can forgive others because others are a reflection of ourselves, and they did the best they knew. We’re not all the same and do not perceive the problems and events in the same way, so we don’t act the same in similar situations.

forgiveness3

If you can not forgive others by talking directly with them, imagine the person standing in front of you, or look in the mirror and imagine that the person in the mirror, and then tell them what’s on your mind and heart, and let go of all the anger, sadness, bitterness and all that you have with that person. After that you will feel ready to step forward.

forgiveness4

Forgiveness sets us free, releasing the past, clears the soul and makes space for the new. For new developments, new situations, new people. Forgiveness makes us better people, we become more honest with ourselves and with others. Forgive everyone, because don’t forget that you are, sometimes, those which someone else needs to forgive.

How to Make an Effective Affirmation ?

September 21, 2015 by Amy Brown

Everything we think or speak is in fact an affirmation, our internal dialogue is also an affirmation.

Given that our thoughts and words are constantly determine by facts or conditions that process creates our life in every moment. Positive affirmations, which are in fact short positive statements, influence the beliefs in our subconscious. In this way, we influence on the negative attitudes and beliefs and change them with positive ones.

Affirmations actually serve to “brainwashing”, but in a way that negative beliefs replaces positive. Properly installed affirmations work wonders.

How to make your affirmation?

Make your own personal affirmation is very simple, it is essential that the affirmation always use positive words and affirmations to yourself evokes positive feelings. You affirmation must always be in the present, not in the future. If you eg. A person who does not finish things until the end your affirmation may be “All I start I finish with the success.”

How to Make an Effective Affirmation ?

What to do to get the affirmation worked?

For the affirmation to be effective it is important to repeat it because the subconscious is so imprinted on its contents. And be sure to include emotions, because dryly uttering any affirmation has no effect. It is not the same to say “I’m great,” as a statement, and “I am great!”  with the confident and joyful tone. What makes the difference between these two affirmations is the strength of the feeling and energy that we have entered into it. You need to believe in it, you need to awake in yourself that the feeling as if it is already accomplished.

So the magic formula for the effective affirmation follows:

  1. Always positive and in the present moment
  2. Included emotions and beliefs
  3. Repeating affirmations until you adopt as part of yourself

Meditation for body and mind

September 14, 2015 by Sheila Smith

It is a special feeling when you calm your body and mind and bring them in a completely relaxed state.

meditation for body and mind

Meditation is very helpful for the whole body, it reduces or normalizes the blood pressure, and brings balance to the level of hormones in the blood. It works by harmonizing the whole being and it heals the soul. If we practice meditation regularly our body and our soul we will be grateful for that and we will reciprocate with love, peace and joy.

It takes very little time to relax and bring ourselves into a meditative state, it is enough to start with just five minutes each day so that the body gets used to the benefits of meditation. Later you can increase the practices to 10, 20 or 30 minutes, or longer if desired. At any time during the day, when you find it most convenient, take a moment for yourself, isolate and relax. Meditation needs calm and quiet place that suits you best, whether it’s at home or a beautiful place in nature. You can play quiet music for meditation to make you relax even better.

meditation for body and mind1

Once you find your oasis for meditation, sit or lie down, make yourself comfortable, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths through your nose and exhale through the mouth, become aware and relax the body; You can start from the feet, through the joints and upwards to the top of the head, or in the reverse order from the crown to the feet. Quietly name the parts of the body that you relax (‘My feet are relaxed, my joints are relaxed’ …). Try not to focus on the thoughts, listen to your heart rate and your breathing. You can also choose a topic of meditation, whether it is peace, moments without negative thoughts and problems or you want to visualize a beautiful event, perhaps a walk with your spiritual guide, or angels, or repeating certain words like; peace, love, prosperity, happiness.

Often in meditation we can get the answer to questions or problems that currently trouble us; just ask a specific question, such as, ‘What do I need to know or what is the next step?’ Through meditation you will find an answer and amplify the emotions related to the theme.

meditation for body and mind2

We can never be in a state of no-thought, because it is natural that they come, they go, have their own course, just let them flow,  notice how they are created and disappear …do not give importance to negative thoughts such as anger, fear, bitterness, sadness, only let them go and replace them with positive thoughts and feelings. When you do not attach importance to them they’ll just pass.

meditation for body and mind3

There is no bad or wrong meditation, the process is very simple and effective. The more you practice meditation that more it becomes efficient and more effective, and your body, mind and soul will rejoice and reward you with happiness, love and healing. The answers to all the questions we have are in us. Through meditation you will be even more connected with you and you will be surprised how clever you are and how you can take care of yourselves. Relax and enjoy!

The power of gratitude

September 4, 2015 by Sheila Smith

How do you start your day? Do you frown or are you happy to move into a new adventure? Make a change, start your day with gratitude.

Even while you are lying in bed, when you open your eyes, thank your bed for a good quality sleep, then be grateful that you woke up and have one more day to create exactly the way you want, because you really can!

The power of gratitude1

We often forget how important it is to be grateful, even when someone does something nice for us, when we thank them, we say it without attaching any special significance and meaning. But gratitude has a great healing power, strength and positive vibrations.

What are you grateful for? Try to make a list of things for which you are grateful, I’m sure you will stop very soon and ask yourself what should you be grateful for?
I reacted similarly at the beginning, when I was first introduced to the issue. We always see things that are not good, the things that make us angry, disappointed, hurt, humiliated and why we don’t feel good, but we should be grateful for those things too, because we learn from them, they are our reminders and lessons on which we still have to work on that next time we will not fall, because of these things and situations we are what we are today.

gratitude

Practice gratitude. Take a pen and paper and every day make a list of ten things that you are grateful for. It may seem difficult, but you’ll see how this exercise helps to understand how you are present in your life, and that indeed you have many things to be grateful for. As your list expands you will become aware of more and more things to be grateful for and that will surely boost your confidence to do even more things that you’ll be grateful for.

Gratitude teaches us a new dimension and opens our eyes to new experience of the world, it teaches us to trust life, your intuition, yourself. By being grateful every day in everything we do, even things that seem insignificant, we learn to trust in life and in turn that will give us confidence.

gratitude1

When you start and end the day with gratitude, you’ll notice how many blessings you get during the day, but you were never aware. Gratitude reminds us that we are what we are – worthy of love and loved. Gratitude brings us back to the present moment and teaches us that happiness is always in the present.

5 tips on how to establish inner peace

August 31, 2015 by Sheila Smith

Nowadays, it looks as if everything is full of stress, problems, worries and anxieties. Everyone seem to be in a hurry, the world seems to have gone mad.

How to preserve and restore peace in your mind?  Today we will share with you 5 tips which can help you establish inner peace.

inner peace

# 1: Get up early in the morning – people who wake up early are those who get more time to purify the mind. If you start working at 9, get up at least at 7, and spend at least half an hour with yourself, in peace and quiet, where you can gather your thoughts and sort your daily priorities.

# 2: Start the day with a relaxing ritual – for some it’s watching their favorite shows on television, for others a walk or reading a book. The point is to do what fulfills you, relaxes you and makes you happy. You should start the day with some such ritual that will make you relax and prepare your mind for everything you expect that day.

inner peace

# 3: Determine your daily priorities –  as soon as you wake up (after you make time for yourself) you should sort all priorities which you have for the day. If you need to complete a report, complete it, if you’ve decided that today was the day when you start training – do it. It is important to finish those mental tasks to the end of the day and feel fulfilled and free.

inner peace2

# 4: If you make a mistake, do not let that ruin your day – to err is human, do not let one little mistake that you made destroy your entire day or week. Continue to fight and push forward! If you have colleagues or friends who are always negative and bitter, avoid them. You do not need their bad vibrations that slow you down in your quest for success.

# 5: Set yourself mission to success – whether those are small missions, such as renovating the house or as big as getting a promotion at work is not important. The point is that it will inflict a real mission to succeed, that when you meet it, it will make you completely happy.

And don’t forget, you are a wonderful being, full of life and freedom!

The power of creative visualization

August 26, 2015 by Sheila Smith

Imagine the wish of your heart. Now imagine how you feel if your wish was fulfilled to the last detail. And, how does it makes you feel?

If you really know what you want you are really lucky. Because many people do not even know what they want, and people do not say – be careful what you wish for, it may come true- in vain. Most people have only a superficial desire, or want something now, but tomorrow something else, and think that they will never achieve in fulfilling their wishes and dreams.

vizualization

I’ll teach you how you can easily make steps towards achieving your desires. If you feel that you are stuck and do not have creative ideas or specific wishes find a cozy corner in your home, close your eyes and call your inner creative self to help you become aware of what your heart wants.

When you become aware of your desire, it can be small, such as buying new clothes or shoes, bike, new furniture or something similar, or something bigger as a new job, happy relationship … Focus on one at a desire. When you achieve one, move on to another and so on.

Now scan your wish to the last detail but without details about how you will come to the realization of this wish. For example, if you want a new house or apartment imagine a place where you want the house, what kind of a place, by the woods, roads, meadows, is there a garden and how big it is, whether it is an existing house or you’re going to build it from the grounds up, how many rooms, how will you furnish the premises, who are you going to live with, and in great detail, let your imagination run wild.

vizualization2

You can take a large paper and draw your house with a yard, or cut pictures from magazines or print them from the Internet. It is essential that there is a lot of detail and you feel as if you already have that house and live in it. And most important is that you cultivate a sense that you deserve that and that you are worthy of the house, and all the joy that it brings to you. Place your drawing, your creative map in a visible place in your home to remind you every day of your wish.

Be grateful and believe that you deserve a wonderful life and that there is no unfulfilled wishes and dreams unless you cancel them. Empower yourself and your ideas and visualize whenever you have time in the day, especially before going to bed and when you wake up, add new details to the drawing every day and you will be closer to achieving your desires.

How to build a healthy self-confidence

August 10, 2015 by Amy Brown

Many of us have problems with low self-esteem as a result of the impressions we gained through life. Having a healthy self-esteem does not mean having a big ego, but feeling safe in your own skin, accepting all yours imperfections and uncertainties and having a realistic picture of yourself. Something like that does not come by itself, but requires making changes that will help build a healthy self-esteem.

The first change that you need to master is to learn to say ‘no’. It often happens that we are doing some of the things because we think it will please others. Putting others’ interests before your own means other people are more important than yourself. Determine your priorities and say no to what you do not want to do and you will make each subsequent ‘yes’ to have a higher value, so you will begin to appreciate your time and effort.

How to build a healthy self-confidence

Express your views and opinions. When you are retaining all in yourself, in fact you say that you are worth less than others. You have a voice to be heard, so use it to show others that you are here. This does not mean that you need to take it out on the people around you, but the next time you are asked for your opinion, get a new idea or you know a better way to solve a problem you need to communicate with the environment, because your vote is worth the same as and someone else’s.

Dedicate yourself to your hobbies and activities you enjoy. You never know what awaits you and when what you do on the side, in your free time, can turn into something bigger. Go back to college, enter the cooking class, read a book, start to play an instrument, play sports or go to the school of foreign languages. Each of us has a talent that makes us special, and when you go to share it with the world, others will recognize it and your confidence will be built day by day.

Be careful with yourself. Make sure you feed your body with good food. Be active and focus on exercise to maintain a healthy body, and soon the results will positive affect your self-image. Dedicate yourself on what makes you happy, and surround yourself with people who inspire you and bring out the best to you. Kindness and a smile addressed to a stranger on the street or your own reflection in the mirror will turn all on the positive side, and fix your self-image.

7 modest ways in which forgiveness makes your life better

July 15, 2015 by Sheila Smith

Keeping these toxic feelings you can only inflict harm. According to a recent survey, 13,000 injuries or deaths were caused by aggressive driving. Aggressive driving can quickly be uncontrollable, resulting in pain and suffering, just because a person refused to let things go. Do not let toxic negative opinion affect your happiness. See the following 7 reasons why it is best to forgive and let go…

1. It’s good for your health

Keeping your anger can make you physically ill. There are many diseases that are caused by stress and anxiety, such as ulcers. Frequent exposure to anger may even cause heart disease. Well, why not just relax, and thus extend your health and life?

2. You will be more focused

When you forgive, you heal yourselves. That’s a really powerful capability that relieves the burden from your heart, resulting in changing your thoughts to positive. Also you will sleep better and be more successful at work.

3. People will consider you a more pleasant person

Does being right or having the last word is worth the price? Are you ready to finally end any inconvenience with this person? Simply agreeing to disagree, you will break down the syndrome “he said, she said” and continue on.

Forgiveness

 4. It shows you are strong

Forgiveness is a sign of strength, not weakness. Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong” To simplify, this means you are in control of the situation, and leave the role of a “victim” and focus on a place that is filled with positive energy.

5. You will have better relationships

You will experience many benefits from forgiveness to the loved ones. They also deserve respect and recognition, admiration, love, trust and many other things. You will get the opportunity to grow, just like the other person.

6. You will be more successful at work

Because we spend a lot of our time at work, why not start to practice forgiveness there. Forgiveness to your colleagues may increase productivity and energy. Employees who hold anger often miss the long-term mission and threaten the well-being of the company.

7. Forgiveness is a sign of emotional intelligence

The ability to manage your emotions is a key aspect of emotional intelligence. Studies show that emotional intelligence is more important than general intelligence in determining success in the private and professional life.

From bad day to beautiful one With positive thinking and mind exercises!

July 1, 2015 by Kelly Bennet

Did you know that in one day we experience about 20,000 moments?

Moment is a period of few seconds in which the brain register the event, and this happens 20.000 times a day. Depending on how the brain responds to this moments – as positive, negative or neutral and the ratio between them – will be determined how are we going to feel about the day and are we going to be in bad or good mood.

If you just have one of those days where the ratio between the negative and positive moments is in the favor of the negative, you will feel pretty bad. The first effort you give to feel better, should be thanking yourself and the others, about the good things you have.

If we realize that we have many good things many good moments, and not only bad, the act of gratitude will became mood-healing act.

In the moments of blockage and rage, spent 8 minutes in so called “cloud” Think of some joyful situation, and take deep breaths (3 second inhale, 3 second hold breath, and 4 seconds exhale). This should become your practice, it will help you relax and get back to work. But remember this is just a push out of the negative moments, you should always find time and analyze why it happened so you can prevent it from happening in the future.

Although sometimes it seems very difficult to distance yourself from the problem, even for few minutes, you should always be persistent and constantly practice it. With proper usage this method will trick your brain and make positive thoughts.

To begin with the practice of positive thinking, take a bit from your free time and think about the most positive thoughts from the past to the present and write them down on a piece paper that that you will always carry with you.

From bad day to beautiful one With positive thinking and mind exercises!

However if no positive thoughts are cheering you up, you can try the trick that psychologist call “the five positive for negative attitude”. Specifically for every negative thought you must come up with five positive thoughts that have some similarities with the negative one. With this method you will weigh what is the positive from the negative thought and will help you come to a positive final solution. It is important to remember always to do your best to harness the bad thoughts, the best way is to do a joke from them, with blocking the negative thoughts you are unblocking your mind and you will be calmer, healthier and most importantly you will be able to better grasp the life and solve the problems in the right way.

After all there there is big truth in the saying of Buddha “We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves”

Yoga For Healthy Heart

June 29, 2015 by Amy Brown

We may think that yoga therapy is nothing more than work on the flexibility of the body and mental relaxation. However, medical studies indicate that yoga can directly act on the central nervous system, blood circulation and metabolism …

yoga, Yoga For Health Heart
Yogic postures, or asanas, include slow rhythmic contraction and relaxation of muscles and deep, slow breathing. All this improves circulation and lung function. Even in 1969, scientists RA Stone and J. De Leo, investigating cases of patients with high blood pressure, proved to be a yoga and relaxation reduces the amount of DBH’s (dopamine-beta-hydroxylase) in the hypothalamus. Reducing the levels of this enzyme, which is essential for the synthesis of noradrenaline – a precursor of adrenaline – soothes and helps in lowering blood pressure.

In addition to a beneficial effect on blood pressure, yoga reduces other risks of cardiovascular disease – lowers cholesterol, tone down heart rate and helps in slowing the progression of atherosclerosis, which is evident from the results of several studies led by Dr.. Erin Olivo, Head of integrative medicine program at University of Columbia. Although science has not fully explained the effect of yoga on heart health, according to some Indian schools of yoga therapy, heart function is closely linked to our emotional metabolism, and repressed emotions heart burden on the physical level.

In other words, when we are nervous, full of care, we encourage action of the autonomic nervous system, which sends the bloodstream stress hormones. Then the muscles of the heart tense further, heart rate accelerates, the heart is under greater pressure, which eventually leads to high blood pressure. Yoga helps in timely awareness, balancing and release repressed emotions.
